Biomarkers in the Blood of Greyhounds with OSA

Help Advance Canine Osteosarcoma Research

IDEXX Laboratories, Inc. is conducting a groundbreaking study to identify biomarkers in the blood of dogs with osteosarcoma (OSA). This research aims to detect OSA before clinical signs appear.

Is My Dog Eligible?

To participate, your dog must meet the following criteria:

  • Diagnosed with osteosarcoma by a veterinarian
  • Has not yet begun treatment (including surgery, chemotherapy, radiation, or vaccine)

What Does Participation Involve?

Your veterinarian will collect blood samples from your dog at various stages of the disease—before, during, and after treatment. These samples will be taken during routine lab work or through an IV catheter used for chemotherapy, meaning no additional venipuncture (“vein poke”) is required.

Are There Any Benefits?

IDEXX Laboratories, Inc. will provide a gift card to help offset diagnostic costs, including blood collection for the study.
