Sighthound Behavior with Rachel Jackson

Loading Events

Join GHI and Rachel Jackson of Well Balanced Animals for an insightful prerecorded webinar on sighthound behavior. Rachel’s mission is to ensure “every animal lives the best life possible, with opportunities to thrive, blossom, and grow.” In this webinar, she’ll explore various aspects of sighthound behavior, with a particular focus on the physical issues that retired racing greyhounds may experience post-racing and as they age. These issues, often stemming from old injuries caused by high-speed racing and chasing, are relevant to other sighthound breeds and crossbreeds as well.

Rachel will discuss how these physical challenges can affect sighthounds and influence their behavior as they age. Recognizing pain in these stoic animals can be difficult, as physical indications may not be immediately apparent. However, there are often behavioral cues that can signal pain. Rachel will highlight these signs, helping you recognize when your sighthound may need assistance. She will also discuss measures you can implement to support and prolong their quality of life. Don’t miss this recording of a live presentation, which includes a Q&A session at the end.
