Join us for “Coffee with an Author” to take a deep dive into learning about greyhounds as muse in literature and art. Some writers and artists look to a muse as the source for their creativity and genius. Joyce Miller, an indie author and greyhound owner, will be your speaker for a 45-minute Zoom meet about celebrating these amazing creatures that fill our worlds. Miller’s latest book is a memoir Look! You’re Dancing! about her 20 years of volunteering for her local greyhound adoption group and training two of her greyhounds for a dog sport called canine freestyle or dog dancing.
There will be one live sessions on Sunday, September 8: 1:00 pm EST. The session will be capped at 35 people to make this a more exclusive and personal discussion with Joyce. For a $25 donation to Greyhound Health Initiative, you will be registered for the event and entered into a raffle to win one of two prizes: A signed copy of Miller’s book, Look! You’re Dancing! or One pound of a specially made blend of coffee from The Greyhound Coffee Company. Both items will be raffled during each of the sessions and you must be present to win. The items will be shipped to the winner (can be shipped internationally). Additional raffle tickets are available for purchase but please be sure to purchase ADMISSION first. If ADMISSION is full for a session, please select a different time frame. A Zoom meeting invite will be sent at least 24 hours prior to the event. Ticket sales close 24 hours prior to the event start time. Please check your SPAM folder if you do not receive a confirmation of your purchase with your digital raffle ticket numbers.
